About Karie Henry
I grew up in the St. Cloud area and now call Maple Grove home—an area I love for its strong sense of community and easy access to the outdoors. I graduated from Eden Valley-Watkins High School and earned my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from St. Cloud State University.
Before real estate, I worked in bartending, customer service, and administrative roles, which helped me build strong communication skills and a natural ability to connect with and support others. With over a decade of experience in real estate, my career began in rentals and property management before transitioning into new construction sales with national builders.
I’ve since had the privilege of helping more than 350 homeowners build or purchase homes throughout the Twin Cities. I specialize in new construction and guiding buyers through the entire building process—from contracts and timelines to design decisions and construction quality—while also helping clients navigate the purchase or sale of existing homes with confidence.
Today, I proudly serve clients through Butterfly Effect Realty, where real estate is about more than transactions—it’s about impact. My mission is simple: helping others move forward while giving back.
Through our Homes with Heart Initiative, every closing creates a ripple of good in the community. We proudly give $1,000 back from every transaction—with a portion donated to the National Alliance on Mental Illness Minnesota and the other portion directed to a charity chosen by my client.
What sets me apart is my ability to truly listen, empathize, and communicate clearly. I focus on building trust so my clients feel supported every step of the way, combining construction expertise, creative problem-solving, and strong negotiation skills to make the process as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
Outside of real estate, I stay active and prioritize health and wellness, working out regularly and spending time outdoors with my two dogs, Tator and Snoopy. I serve on the board for NAMI Hennepin County, supporting mental health awareness and advocacy. My husband, Wade, and I love traveling, hiking, boating in the summer, snowmobiling in the winter, and enjoying concerts and comedy shows. Most importantly, we cherish time spent with my son Shane and our family whenever we can.
Clients often describe me as warm, approachable, and genuinely supportive. My goal is to make the buying or selling journey feel smooth, comfortable, and even fun—while ensuring my clients feel informed and confident every step of the way.
